Metallica decided to invite members of Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium onstage to sing backup on this Misfits tune in 2006.
Metallica: Iron Man
Metallica inducted Black Sabbath into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2006 and proceeded to pay tribute to them with this rendition of “Iron Man”, as well as “Hole In The Sky”.
Metallica & Dave Lombardo: Battery
When Lars Ulrich of Metallica became ill before the 2004 Download festival and was forced to miss the show, Metallica enlisted the help of Dave Lombardo of Slayer and Joey Jordison of Slipknot to fill his spot. Lombardo performed on “Battery” and “The Four Horsemen”. Jordison wound up playing most of the show, including “Enter Sandman”.
Metallica, Korn, System Of A Down: One
During a 2000 concert in Sparta, Kentucky, members of Metallica, Korn and System of A Down joined forces to perform Metallica’s One. Korn’s Jonathan Davis is on vocals with SOAD’s Daron Malakian on rhythm guitar. Metallica is represented by Kirk Hammett, Jason Newsted and Lars Ulrich on lead guitar, bass guitar and drums, respectively.
